Jacksonville Multifamily Landlord Registry
Over the past three years, the Jax Rental Housing Project has collected ownership information for all 10+ unit apartment complexes in Jacksonville, Florida. Due to the pervasive use of Limited Liability Companies, this is the only public registry containing the identity of these complexes’ actual owners. Data sources for the project include the Duval County Property Appraiser, the University of Florida Shimberg Center for Housing Studies, the Jacksonville Municipal Code Compliance Division, apartment data aggregation sites like Apartments.com and Zillow.com, and individual property or company websites.
The first tab of this display features a map to interactively search for properties geographically. The second features an owner dashboard displaying the owners with the highest numbers of eviction filings and code compliance issues. The third is the searchable registry document filterable by zip code.
